FHE

I have a few things that I want to post, but I am going to take a few days so that it seems like more! HA! This week we had a fun Family Home Evening. We played volleyball with a few families in the ward, sorry no pictures. Josh Strong had to hop the neighbors fence a few times to get the volleyball. Luckily, they were not home.... Then Josh brought liquid nitrogen to make ice cream. We made it so Hollie Traylor could eat it so not 'ice cream', but "soy cream" would be more like it. Then with the left over nitrogen we had some fun with balloons and dirt and other things, just seeing what would happen.

Totally awesome

We had a talent show at church and well... we stole the show.

What was really funny is that just a few acts later, another family in the ward, did the same thing! Only they had food and other things to shove in each others face. Hope you enjoyed!!

Quiet book

So I have decided to make a quiet book for Kelsey and future children... here is my progress so far.

A tee-pee, numbers, belt buckle, clock, matching shapes, closet with clothes, boy and girl that need clothes, how to tie a shoe, and button flowers. I am planning on making another few pages, just not quite sure what I am going to do, I have too many choices. I still have a way to go, but I am excited to finish this project!

Mequite Trip and update

So we have been world travelers! Well not really....but we have been down to Mesquite, Nevada, and St. George, Utah in these past few weeks. That is why nothing has happened here for a while. First off Kelsey and I traveled down to Mesquite (which is an hour north of Vegas) a week early. We spent the week with my Mom, sister and sister-in-law. We had so much fun. Fun with make-up, even going so far as to try and make our own. Anyway.... We had fun just being together and shopping, spending money we don't have and stuff like that. Then we got to see a baby blessing and baptism the same day! It was quite exciting.
We also had *most* of the family together so took advantage and got some pictures taken.

The next week I spent time with Jasmene and her family. I had such a great time. Kelsey did too. She had three great babysitters watching over her ALL the time. My job was easy!! So there is a reason to have more kids.... During my time in Mesquite, on Sunday, the wind was terrible. So bad that it blew over the trampoline! It blew into the house and bent one of the poles in the outside enclosure. When Quinn flew down Bryan and him used their combined college graduate brains to bend the pole back, here is the process:
Maybe a Hammer?

Nope.
Brut strength?

Nope.
Broken Foot?
Nope.
Not broken foot?
Nope.
Maybe if I hold here and you hold there....

Nope.
Finally with the addition of me, they were able to bend the pole back and the trampoline is now back into commission. Sorry there is not a picture of this. Meanwhile, Kelsey was playing on the little cozy coupe thing, which she now loves.

The next big event of the past week was Quinn's brother's wedding! YEAH! It was a beautiful day, and beautiful wedding, and a great BBQ after!

We thank all of those who housed us during these past weeks and are so excited for Nick and Jeramie to start their new lives together! Just for future reference, we are not traveling anywhere in the next month, so we should be better about keeping up.

Idaho Trip

Hello Everyone!! We got back from our Idaho trip and we had so much fun seeing everyone. Thanks to all the people who let us stay over, we appreciate it SO SO much. This is just random pictures I took.

This little bench was made by Kelsey's great grandpa. She loves it! The first time we brought it home, she put it right next to the couch and climbed right up. Now that is all she does. Thanks Great Grandpa! She really loves it! He also made Kelsey and all of his other great grandchildren a marble tree.
It makes lots of noise, so this might be her new favorite toy.

I think we might have to get a treadmill after this. Although her favorite part of the treadmill was sitting down on it than falling off the back. Like in the grocery store check-outs.

Working with Dad

Well not much has happened these past few weeks or days which ever you want. Quinn had a doctor's appt. today and everything is great! He can start walking on his foot! He is really excited. He is having difficulties not walking with the crutches since he has been on them for a while.
Last night Quinn FINALLY put together his fancy new grill we had been saving for. (We have had this grill for months) We got a great deal on it, thanks Target clearance!! But Kelsey was really excited to help him with it, as you can see in the video is is working hard on the wheels.

You can kind of see in the video she is actually twisting her wrist like she is tightening and loosening the screws. That's my girl.

Once the grill was put together Dada's shoes needed to be fixed.

Random Video

I can't remember how long ago this video was taken, but I think it might have been when I was cleaning Kelsey's room. I was changing the crib sheets, but kelsey loves to play on the mattress. This was the result.

Get up and DANCE!

This video is a little dark and a little messy. But Kelsey has started to dance! It is pretty cute. The reason this video is pretty messy, because Quinn's ankle is up on a chair with blankets and pillows. And the computer, we are getting rid of it, I just wanted Quinn to clear everything off of it. I think laundry is on the table.... I am not sure though.

Quinn is doing good. He is off of his ankle for another 4 weeks and then another 4 to 6 weeks he will be using a walking cast boot thing.

Jasmene, me preggo sister, is having her baby on Friday. She was supposed to have her baby yesterday, but the baby's' lungs weren't developed quite as much as the doctor liked. So Friday is the big day!

I know this post is a little random, but it had just been too long since I have updated, but not much has been going on so, there you go!

Quinn's Ankle Update

Quinn had a doctor's appt yesterday and they wanted to take more X-rays and while waiting outside Kelsey was so cute and excited to sit in her own chair.

Here is a picture of the stitches. I think they are pretty intense, but I have never really seen stitches so much. There is only 4, yeah, pretty nasty.
This is after the stitches were taken out. He still has a pretty nasty bruise there, but it is healing. He is only in a walking cast, but still no weight for another 4 weeks.
Kelsey makes all the nurses day at the office. There were coming from different offices just to see her, and I didn't even put her hair in pigtails!!

Quinn's Ankle Fiasco

As many of you know we moved, not to Arizona, but just another apartment here in Colorado. Well two days before we were to move Quinn was running out of the bank (no robbing involved)and stepped on a curb wrong thus resulting in this:

His left ankle became very swollen and huge and everything else! Our doctor's office was closed and the emergency room is just too expensive.... so we waited til morning thus resulting in this:

After an appointment with the weirdest doctor ever, we found out that Quinn cracked his medial malleolus of the tibia, or his ankle bone (the part that sticks out). He was put in a "soft cast" and was not supposed to put ANY weight on it thus resulting in this:

That meant no "real", "out-in-the-dirt" work, just office junk. Anyway, the next week we had an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon, thus resulting in this:

This is what Quinn's foot looked like after they took off the "soft cast". It was pretty nasty. Although it didn't hurt him very much. The doctors were very surprised. That's my man! Anyway, so we see the doctor, thus resulting in this:
Quinn is doing fine, WE are very much looking forward to the next doc appt. in a few days so Quinn can get back to work and Ashley can get Quinn out of the house. Meanwhile, I am left to do this:
Which actually the unpacking is pretty much done and the apartment doesn't really look like this anymore.

In no particular order...

Here is our Christmas break... we did so much and had so much fun, I don't think I could even narrow it down. But here are some pictures of just a tidbit of our vacation.

We thought Kelsey would be scared of the motorcycles, but instead she absolutely loved them! This is the new little quad my dad got for the grand kids. But the bigger kids had fun on them too. tee hee hee
This is what actually scared Kelsey. The rockets! Just watch the video....
She was really tired, that's why it scared her so bad.
Kelsey had so much fun, just zooming around.

Because we slept outside in tents, and Kelsey doesn't keep blankets on her while she is sleeping, she wore this little snow suit. We think she looks like a pink marshmallow, a polar bear, a walking stuffed animal, but whatever she was, she was cute.

Quinn after a hard day's ride. His first time on a motorcycle, I mean "two-wheeled" motorcycle.

Kelsey was everyone's favorite present. She actually was slightly scared by the noise the wrapping paper made when it was being torn. But a loud noisy motorcycle...psshh, no biggie.

Kelsey really liked her Christmas gift, from the coolest parents ever, if I do say so myself.

Shooting... manly stuff... There was lots of grunting involved.

Kelsey loved loved LOVED feeding the ducks. She tried to catch them, while they retreated into the water. If I hadn't have been there, the water would not have stopped her.

Grunt....

Just In Case You Heard....

No we are not pregnant....

We are not moving down to Arizona for a new job. We have decided that Colorado is the best place for us, at least right now in our lives. Thanks to all of the family that helped us in our decision to stay or go and we hope that the family that really wanted us to go will still like us. :)

WE LOVE YOU!

Christmas Decorating

This is pretty much the extent of my Christmas decorations. As you can see I made myself a stocking too. It is a little smaller than Quinn and Kelsey's because I ran out of felt!! Oh well... We are planning to put up our tree tonight, so everything will be complete. I will just have to keep Kelsey away from it, so it doesn't fall on her. Of course, there will be not presents under the tree because Kelsey will just tear them up, so instead they are on top of the entertainment center. Real Classy.
