Josh and Mel are parents!!

We are happy to announce that Josh and Mel are parents!!
This past weekend, we went down to Mesa, for her baby shower.
During the whole shower, Kelsey played with Mel's phone,
the WHOLE time.
Grandma and I had tons of fun, holding her.
She's so chunky!
she is 10 lbs, at 2 weeks old!!
Mel is such a great mom, and is so super happy!
She got so much at the shower,
I was really surprised!
Look at little baby Jovie,
she is so super cute!
We love her so much,
and are grateful to her birth mother for giving our family a great gift.
We can't imagine, how much suffering you might be going through,
but we love you just as much as we love your gift.

Weeeelllllllll......

Let see it has been
WWWAAAYYYY tooo
llllloooooonnnnnngggg
I know I know,
I post on my other blog about a million times more than this one.
For some reason this one is harder to update.
Oh this is sad...
For Christmas,
yes remember it was only 3 months ago..
We went to Quinn's family.
Kelsey had a great time playing in the snow, and all the cousins.

Quinn had fun as well, playing in the snow and sledding with Kelsey.
Although there wasn't much snow, we had fun.
After the trip to Blackfoot,
Kelsey and I left Quinn to work,
while we went and had more fun with the Hansen family.
Kelsey figured out how to ride her tricycle.
Other than having fun being a 3 year old, working hard,
and crafting hard, there is not much going on in our house.
Quinn still has a enjoys his work,
Kelsey is learning and becoming a brat.:)
I am in the Young Women's Presidency,
and enjoying all the stresses that come with that.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's the time of the year to make an apple pie.
See I had help.
By the way, this is the best invention ever.
Mmm.... tasty.....

I know it has been a llloooooooooooooonnngggg time since I have posted here.
But to be completely honest nothing too exciting has happened.
Our ward got a new Bishopric, which means,
in a small town, everyone in the ward gets a new calling.
Quinn is still in the Elders Quorum Presidency, but now he is the 1st Counselor.
I finally left the primary, and joined the Young Women, as the 2nd Counselor.
We have been in our new callings for about 3 months,
and are loving it.
Kelsey is almost 3!! It has gone by so fast, I have no idea were the time went!
My younger brother Kory is leaving on his mission to Colorado Springs, on Dec 15th.
I am excited for him, but sad that I won't see him for a while.
And well.....
that has been our life in a couple paragraphs.
What has been going in your life?

Look what Quinn made!!

Look what Quinn made! I am super excited about this!!
He did such a great job on it.
He first made it in Google Sketch-Up,
then whipped it out in a couple weekends.
I love it!
(Apparently I can't keep the camera strait)
What is really cool is each piece is separate.
So there is 2 sides and a middle.
So when we move to a new place, if there is not space for all 3 piece we can talk them apart.
There are still a couple of things that need to be done like,
get little screw cover things,
connect the 3 pieces so they don't fall over for some reason, and of course...
decorate!
(I'm super excited about that part)
I have already started a little, but have changed it about 5 times since yesterday.
Well and I guess the reason Quinn made this was for a new TV,
because we know how pathetic our little 20" looks on there.
But again we shall see.
There are more important things than a TV......

Ellis Family Reunion

We spent a week in Idaho with Quinn's family.
We had tons of fun with things from feeding the roosters to going down the slide.
Thanks so much Ron and Lynne, for letting us come and destroy your house for a week!

Such a sweet innocent look,
for someone who is so spoiled.
All of the Ron and Lynne's grandkids! Holy Cow!
I know what Kelsey is getting for Christmas! She jumped on that trampoline
all day long. Good naps and even better nights, oh thank Heaven.

Quinn's favorite part of the drive, there and back.
Although he wasn't going 80,
he was going more like 85.
Which I sure hope they don't raise the speed limit, everyone already drives WAY too fast.

4th of July

We decided to go down to Havasu and spend sometime with my parents and my sister, who came also.
This is baby Alex, my sister Emily's baby. He is a massive 6 month old, weighing in a whopping 20 lbs.
He is almost as big as Kelsey!!
He is so cute!

Grandma made this SUPER yummy cake, Kelsey really enjoyed it.
My parents ward put on  this great July 4th breakfast, they had a parade.
(Organized by a great Activities Head, my Mom)
This is Kelsey and Grandma decorating the hats that kids all wore.

Very serious work.

We went out on the boat, she loved it so much.

Quinn had fun on the wakeboard, he did pretty well for not doing it for 2 years.

He did the airchair as well, He got up a few times,
and did tons better than me, that's for sure!

This is my awesome Dad! Look at him go!!
We had such a great time and we are paying for it today.
We are SO sore.
I think laundry might have to wait another day...
I realize there is no pictures of me posted, but I did bumper tub and attempt the airchair.
Although all the evidence is videos.

What we do

It's summer, and it's hot. Therefore, we can't go outside as often as I want, so we are stuck inside, and boy is Kelsey driving me crazy!! So I have started to do things so keep her little hands working.
All the time.
We built a tower.
and played with sand.

I need some other ideas, help?

Snow Canyon State Park

So we went up to Snow Canyon State Park this weekend with my sister, Jasmene and her family and our friend Sarah and her family. We had so much fun playing in the sand dunes and going on little hikes.
Kelsey posing for a picture
Quinn and Kelsey on the way to the dunes. The weather was SO nice. It was 70 with cloud cover. Kelsey got goosebumps! What made it even better is that, it had rained the day before so everything was very compacted so no dust!!
This is Ethan, Sarah's youngest.

I told her to smile, this is what she gave me.

Burying the children.

The sand was cool. So she fell asleep, no not really.

So pretty.

I had fun climbing, I didn't get very high, but it was still fun!
