Relay Races

At Virgin Valley Elementary School, VVES, the have relay races, to see who has the fastest class in each grade. Kelsey thought it was pretty awesome. I think Mesquite shut down for a few hours to watch these.....

I found this video of Kelsey dancing, and I thought it was rather entertaining. I realize her diaper is a little saggy and full. I am AWARE! :) Enjoy.

Easter

This is Jaymie my niece, when I was watching my sisters kids, I let Kelsey and Jaymie run around outside and they had so much fun in the sun.

I know I am a horrible person

So I know I have been really bad at posting anything, but give me a break! I have had 5 kids! My sister and hubby went on a skiing trip last week and lucky me got to watch there kids. Let me just say it wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but I understand now how important school is to a mother. It is a nice break from all the kids. Oh man, and I am taking my sweet time with having kids! So this is what we have been up to. I have been trying to decorate our condo, but it is pretty slow going since I am picky I guess. But I have a lot of projects going which should be done soon. Quinn is liking his job, he is still getting used to be here in Mesquite. There are so many different plants that he has never worked with which is making it hard for him. But he is a fast learner, so it won't take very long. Kelsey is 2 and loving ever minute of it. I am trying to potty train her, but it has been unsuccessful. She is seriously stubborn ( I wonder where she gets that?). WE are just working on her "sitting" on the potty which has happened a total of about 10 times. But I am trying not to push her too hard.


We gave the kids warheads....muhahahahaha!!!


There is a park just down the hill from us and Kelsey LOVES it!


The traveling Vietnam Wall came to Mesquite. Kelsey obviously didn't understand but she had a good time looking at it.

This is Kelsey's new dance she loves to do. She learned it from Sadie, a little girl in our ward.

This is what you see when you look down from the loft. The living room, the dining room and kitchen. I was going to take a picture of the bedrooms, but not much to see there,until they are decorated. So those are to come.

Mesquite

Well we have officially moved in. YEAH! We are renting a 3 bedroom condo, which is HUGE compared to our old apartment which is really super exciting. I have a CRAFT ROOM!! yeah! Quinn doesn't have a garage, but he likes it. I plan on having way too much fun and decorate, really decorate! YEAH! As you can tell I am super excited! More pictures to come!

Sadness, Craziness, Fun, Worry, Annoyance, and Joy

So it's been a while since we have posted anything so I figured I(Quinn) would give a quick update. I'll just give you the main points so as not to bore you.

-We went to Thanksgiving in Iowa at my sisters house and was able to spend a week out there with her family and a couple days with my brother there to
-In December the company I had been working for went out of business.
-Because I didn't have to work we went took a long vacation and went to Christmas in Lake Havasu with Ashley's Family.
-Christmas was great-- But how can it not be when we spend two weeks camping, riding bikes and 4-wheelers(quads), shooting guns, and spending time with family.
-I have been thinking about going back to school to get my masters, so I finished my application to graduate school.
-Ashley's sister knows a guy in Mesquite NV who owns a landscape company, and in a round about way figured out that they are looking for a designer.
-I interviewed for the job, and after another interview and couple of long weeks of waiting I got the job.
-Now we have to get back to Colorado, pack all our stuff and be back to Mesquite by next week, not because I start work that soon but because we need to be back for a baby blessing the first Sunday in February.

So that's the just of our life for the past bit. Once find a place and get settled we will be a little more diligent about keeping things updated. and sometime we might get somepictures of all our fun adventures too.

Long lost pictures

I was getting pictures off of the camera from Thanksgivingand found some fun videos of Kelsey. She has been watching us use the resistance bands and so she wanted to use them too. I love the "gruting"

I am getting bored with this blog, so I am going to start making changes around here. Many subtle things will start happening. But don't worry I am not sure I am really ready to jump on the "private" bandwagon quite yet.

Kelsey's favorite cartoon is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I thought it would be fun to get her a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal, but since we don't have money I thought I could just make one. And like everyone in the world right now, I tried my hand at amigurumi, (don't ask me to say it) anyway, I couldn't find a pattern so here is what I came up with. What do you think? Does it look enough like Mickey that a 2 year old will realize it?
